LEEASA was formed by concerned industry individuals in 2003. The Association is concerned that this industry, which is inherently dangerous, could fall into disrepute if not well run and regulated.
The engineering team providing the service should be well trained to the correct standards and be ethical and responsible for their actions. Safety should be paramount. Since the inception, LEEASA has grown and all Lifting Machinery Inspectors (LMI) are encouraged to join.

LEEASA is recognised Voluntary Association with The Engineering Council of South Africa. LEEASA acts in the best interests of its members and the indusrty at large.
LEEASA is a registered CPD service provider with The Engineering Council of South Africa.
LEEASA is engaged with statutory bodies to enhance the lifting industry and advance the profession for future generations.
LEEASA actively participate in the industry by issuing guidelines for any grey areas that may be of concern.
